A Little Deep Dive Into The Asus Zenbook 14 UX434

Now that all nerdy part is gone, let’s discuss what’s all this mean. We are gonna review it with 5 different aspects.

The TouchPad

Asus Zenbook 14 UX434 got a Touch Screen TouchPad which they are calling ScreenPad 2.0.
Well, you can use this 5.65 Inch mini touch screen to add Apps and Software to launch immediately, Switching between the apps, Use as a Numpad, or a handwriting tool.
While that sounds amazing, keep in mind that you won’t be able to use the Touchpad as a touchpad while using it as a 2nd Display.

The Design

The built-in design of this laptop is super awesome! It comes in this pretty unique color which is royal blue with a rose gold trim. The iconic ripple design on the brushed aluminum surface looks nice and gives a premium feel.
Overall it’s a really nice design that wouldn’t stand out of place even in a professional setting or just a casual setting like a cafe or your bedroom.

Display

The display you get a full HD 1080p IPS display. Which is capable of 100% SRGB coverage and as you can tell the bezels are pretty slim. The screen to body ratio 92%, viewing angles is great. The colors are rich and vibrant as well as to be expected of IPS.
You’ll definitely be able to enjoy most of the content on it. You might be able to do some editing as well.
We are doing a review of the Non-Touchscreen model, please keep in mind there is a touchscreen version also.

Performance

Well, the performance is Ok. It’s a very basic configuration laptop. For day to day use you will be more than ok. It’s quite fast which should be expected from a Core – i7 8th Gen Processor, 16GB Ram, and 512GB PCLE Storage.
In terms of productivity, you can pretty Lightroom or Photoshop without any issues. If you are into video editing you can do that too. Although keep in mind, rendering a 1080P video might be ok. But rendering a 4K video will stress the machine out.
Please keep this in mind that the Asus Zenbook series is not really a gaming laptop. You might get away with a few light games and some heavy games in Mid to Low settings.

Battery

The battery is the best feature in this Laptop which will give you a surprising 8 hours backup while browsing or 1-hour Gaming. So you might get away with a full workday without charging.
Windows laptops always fall behind the Macbook Air or Macbook Pro. But this laptop comes close.

Who is this Asus Zenbook 14 UX434 For?

Well, this laptop is perfect for most of the people out there. You can browse the internet without any issue, do light photo or video editing, making your school or work presentation, even get away with gaming in low to mid settings.
Not to mention the other simple tasks like Watching Movies or Netflix will be more than enjoyable.
