The first few editions were great, but for a lot of reasons, We couldn’t recommend it in for almost 8 years. But now we can. Apple is back with its original value and we can recommend this again to our friends and family as well as our readers.
LATEST NEW APPLE MACBOOK AIR 13INCH 2020 SPECIFICATIONS
The New Apple Macbook Air comes with two different variants. 256GB – Core i3 variation and 512GB- Core i5 variation. This means the 256GB Variation will have less space and somewhat slower than the Core i5 Variation.
If the price is not an issue to you, or you can manage the extra 300 USD, our recommendation would be to get the 512-GB variation. You will have quite a decent amount of space and a faster Laptop.

This new Magic keyboard has a slightly mechanical feel to it. You can type at your full potential with this keyboard. It has enough space to rest your arm at peace, pressing the button will give you a premium feel, the backlit function looks awesome!
This keyboard is the single most awesome thing Apple has done with the new Macbook Air.
MACBOOK AIR 2020 BATTERY AND CHARGING
Well the Battery lasts up to 12 hours as per Apple advertising. With WiFi-enabled and 150 Nits brightness while watching movies or browsing the web it lasts about 10 hours. Which is very impressive actually. 10 hour is more than enough for daily usage for a laptop with these specifications.
MACBOOK AIR 2020 TRACKPAD
Back in 2012, Apple was the only one with a great Trackpad. But that time has changed and other brands have a quite decent trackpad as well. So, it looks like with this new Apple Macbook Air, Apple didn’t screw anything up.
So there’s basically nothing to fault with this trackpad. It feels premium on the finger, it’s responsive, the gestures are nice, the clicks feel nice and don’t feel like force touch.
MACBOOK AIR 2020 DISPLAY
Now let’s talk about the screen and the screen is absolutely fine. It’s a Retina display its got like 2560 by 1440 resolution.
It got 400 nits of brightness. Basically, 400 nits are bright but not very bright. So if you’re using it outside an under absolutely bright sunlight, you might not be able to see very clearly. But it’s absolutely bright enough for most like 98% of other use cases which is absolutely fine.
It got TrueTone Features, which takes a little more battery life, but with TrueTone on, the colors become more natural.
It’s Retina display it still has slightly annoyingly large bezels which if you look at modern Windows laptops, most of the time they don’t.
Overall, the screen is fantastic with awesome color and contrast.
MACBOOK AIR 2020 PORTS
It got 2 USB-C port. Someone might call it a disadvantage, but to be honest for most people, its more than enough. But if you’re planning to use a mouse or Pen drive, you’re going to need a dongle or a USB Type-C hub.
It’s also got a headphone jack. Nowadays most of the people use wireless headphones but it’s nice that you have got the option.
MACBOOK AIR 2020 SPEAKERS
The speakers are fine. If you’re gonna watch an immersive movie or something you should probably wear headphones or use external speakers. To be honest, that’s gonna be true regardless of what laptop you get.
The built-in microphone is also fine works great, the sound quality may not be the best, but it gets the job done.
MACBOOK AIR 2020 WEBCAM
The webcam is a disadvantage. Its 720P, it gets the job done. But you won’t be face-timing your Mom in HD with this.
MACBOOK AIR 2020 THERMAL PERFORMANCE (HEAT ISSUE)
This is the only thing that you will probably hate about this laptop. You will notice that if you increase the workload, like opening multiple application or editing a photo, the laptop gets heated and loud quickly.
This happens when you use it on your lap, not on a hard surface, but again with these types of laptop, you will use it on your lap more often than you think
SHOULD YOU GET THE 2020 APPLE MACBOOK AIR?

This happens when you use it on your lap, not on a hard surface. But again with these types of laptops, you will use it on your lap more often than you think.
This Macbook Air is a great size to carry around. It’s an absolutely perfect laptop if you’re interested in doing basic things. And that’s the main point. This is a perfect laptop for you if you’re doing basic things.
So if you’re in the market for these laptops, the question you need to be asking yourself what are my use cases for a laptop. You want a laptop that’s gonna be lasting at least three years if not more. You want to ask yourself if you can envision yourself only having basic computer needs for the next three or four years or so?
By basic things, we mean anything that’s not particularly fancy. Like browsing the web or watching Netflix or typing up a word document or creating some office presentation or school presentation.
Another thing to consider would be your budget. This is a high end super pricey, premium laptop. So, if you are on a tight budget or just want your work done then you might want to consider some other windows laptop.
